Senior Data Software Engineer (Python & SQL)

In this role you will design and deliver production-ready data applications using Python and SQL, with a focus on scalable architecture, security, and observability. You will work across Snowflake or Databricks ecosystems and contribute to modern data models and processing patterns. You’ll build, validate, and monitor high-performance data services, including UI components with Streamlit, while ensuring cost efficiency and robust CI/CD practices. This position offers impact on data platform maturity and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop resilient Python services with modular architecture and clean code practices
• Write and optimize complex analytical SQL for high-performance distributed environments
• Contribute to scalable data architecture, data models, and processing patterns
• Build and maintain applications in Snowflake or Databricks ecosystems, including UI with Streamlit
• Implement secure multi-tenant data platforms using Unity Catalog or Snowflake RBAC
• Optimize compute usage and cost efficiency across data platforms
• Manage code lifecycle with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure high-quality delivery via automated testing, data validation, and integration testing
• Implement observability, including logging, monitoring, and performance tracking

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks
• Familiarity with Streamlit for UI development
• Experience with Unity Catalog or Snowflake RBAC for security
• Understanding of CI/CD, Git-based workflows
• Experience with automated testing and data validation
• Strong software engineering discipline and modular architecture skills
• Knowledge of performance optimization and cost management (FinOps) across data platforms
• Experience in building scalable data applications in distributed environments
