Senior Database Engineer

We've partnered with a leading financial services company to hire a Senior Database Engineer for a modern infrastructure and platform engineering team.

You'll help operate and evolve enterprise Oracle and PostgreSQL environments, support the migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL, and contribute to the expansion of cloud-based database platforms in Azure. The role combines database engineering, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and platform modernization in a highly collaborative environment.

What they're looking for

• Strong experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Background in database engineering and operations
• Experience with automation and scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.)
• Interest in cloud and platform engineering topics
• German and English fluency required

Nice to have

• Terraform, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Chef or Ansible Automation Platform
• Azure infrastructure experience
• Data warehouse or replication tooling exposure
