About the role

About us

Implicity is a digital MedTech that brings outstanding innovations to cardiologists, thanks to Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. Our leading cardiac remote monitoring platform makes it easier to manage data and predict patient issues, so that cardiologists can bring the best care at the best time. Co-founded in 2016 by Dr Arnaud Rosier (cardiologist and AI researcher) & David Perlmutter (engineer and entrepreneur), Implicity is a French Start-Up / Scale-Up and a game changer in the healthcare market, shaping the future of cardiology.

  • 250+ hospitals / medical centers are already using our solutions, covering 100 000+ patients.
  • The team consists of experts in data science, engineering, clinical, regulatory, IT, sales, and customer success, working together.

Implicity is a clear European leader and is expanding into the US market.

Why join Implicity?

  • Patients get far better care.
  • Doctors’ lives are far easier, allowing them to focus on prevention/treatment rather than admin/data burden.
  • Healthcare payers eventually pay a far lower price by preventing/monitoring instead of treating/hospitalizing.

Job and recruitment context

We are hiring a Deep Learning Engineer to join the Software as Medical Device (SaMD) squad. At Implicity, we're transforming the management of cardiac conditions by providing innovative AI-powered medical devices. Our squad is building, deploying, and maintaining advanced solutions that empower healthcare professionals, optimize their workflows, and ultimately improve patient lives.

As part of our skilled and collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to translate varied and complex data into clinically impactful projects in an environment where we promote continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing, providing dedicated time for experimentation and professional development.

Reporting structure

Your missions

As Deep Learning Engineer, your core mission will include:

  • Deep Learning R&D: Drive the research, development and validation of state-of-the-art Deep Learning architectures (Transformers, Temporal CNNs) for various time-series data from Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) signals.
  • Self-Supervised Learning: Build and optimize Self-Supervised Learning pipelines to leverage our database of +100,000 patients.
  • Health Data Hub: Explore the SNDS data via the Health Data Hub, unlocking new research opportunities at scale.
  • Scientific rigor: Ensure the reproducibility, scientific correctness and transparency of each experiment, and medical relevance of our AI projects for both patients and caregivers.
  • Scientific publications: Contribute to scientific publications in collaboration with our Clinical team.

Your profile and mindset

Must have:

  • Education: A Master's degree, Engineering degree, or PhD in a relevant field such as Data Science, AI, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Science
  • An extensive knowledge of Machine Learning / Statistics, Deep Learning frameworks, Python and SQL
  • Proficiency in French and English
  • Ability to work autonomously, proactively develop new skills, and share knowledge within the team
  • A team player mindset, with a genuine desire to contribute to the success of your colleagues

Bonus points:

  • Experience with handling large datasets and experiment tracking in cloud environments
  • Experience with developing and maintaining production-grade software systems
  • A passion for working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment

Even better:

  • Direct experience with Software as Medical Devices that have achieved CE marking or FDA approval
  • Prior experience within the healthcare industry
  • Experience with time-series analysis or bio-signal processing (ECG, EGM, EEG)

A note on applying: We are looking for an experienced Deep Learning Engineer, but we know the perfect candidate doesn't exist. Your growth is our priority: we strongly encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't perfectly align with every point listed. We value diverse backgrounds, a growth mindset and passion for learning and contributing to our mission.
