Work Arrangement: This role operates in a hybrid environment, requiring you to collaborate in our Warren, MI office three times a week, or as business needs dictate.

Your Role as Chevrolet Art Designer
The Brand Identity Group is part of the Human Interface Design team, where GM's user experience becomes tangible in the digital cabin. Your contribution will ensure Chevrolet's digital expression aligns with its dynamic, modern, and capable brand identity.
You'll collaborate closely with Chevrolet’s studio, brand strategy, and UX teams to express Chevrolet’s essence through powerful visuals and storytelling. Key responsibilities will include creating high-end visual narratives, executive presentations, brand DNA guides, and UX brand direction that align product strategies with leadership goals.

Your Primary Focus
- Evangelize Brand on Behalf of In-Vehicle UX: Develop the digital brand expression and storytelling that links physical brand DNA with in-vehicle UX.
- Chevrolet Brand Identity: Make the Chevrolet brand identity actionable across UX, aligning closely with the intent of Chevrolet car studios.
- Chevrolet UX Brand Strategy: Collaborate with peers to articulate and own the Chevrolet UX Brand strategy.
Key Deliverables
- Chevrolet DNA Guides: Create documents capturing brand essence in a manner that is usable by UX teams.
- Chevrolet UX Brand Strategy: Define how the brand manifests in the digital cabin, translating brand language and design intent into UX visuals and behaviors.
- Marketing Request Images: Produce high-quality visuals for product communication and digital launches.
- Cross-Brand Presentations: Craft executive-level storytelling that analyzes and aligns multiple GM brands.
- Chevrolet-Specific Presentations: Provide insights on Chevrolet’s brand history, future direction, and UX implications.
- Communication Design: Design high-quality presentations and documents that connect strategy with creativity.
- Vehicle Content Documentation: Develop brand-specific documentation detailing software, screens, apps, and feature-level descriptions.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 6+ years of experience in UX Design, Branding, or Communication Design.
- A portfolio demonstrating storytelling through visual design.
- Independent self-starter capable of identifying issues and providing clarity.
- Understanding of human interface design best practices.
- Ability to iterate quickly and navigate cross-functional feedback.
- Strong presentation skills to communicate visual choices effectively.
- Passion for design, branding, and automotive aesthetics.
- Comfortable working with technical complexities, collaborating with engineers and product managers.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- 3+ years of experience leading brand initiatives.
- Examples of brand executions showcasing differences and impact.
- Experience in establishing branded systems and guidelines.
- Background in designing for non-traditional interfaces (e.g., automotive, voice, wearable devices).

Compensation
- The expected base salary for this position is between $103,000 to $157,900, varying based on position-related factors.
- Bonus Potential: Employees may be eligible for performance-based incentive pay.
