We work globally networked on exciting projects around the future of the audio sector and welcome applications from all areas regardless of gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, ethnic affiliation, religion, disability, or age.

Your Responsibilities

  • We develop architecture and design concepts for wireless transmission methods and digital signal processing algorithms based on the DECT NR+ transmission standard.
  • We conduct analyses, simulations, and measurements, e.g., on performance, robustness, timing, interference, and coverage, to derive system requirements, evaluate architectural options, and identify optimization potential.
  • We actively work on the DECT NR+ stack (PHY/MAC), including implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting in the embedded environment.
  • We plan and manage defined functional blocks and take over time planning, technical coordination, risk management, and tracking of work packages in interdisciplinary teams.
  • We conduct or moderate technical reviews, architecture workshops, design discussions, and decision-making processes with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • We participate in international standardization bodies and funding projects by contributing technical requirements and actively participating in discussions and review processes.
  • We provide mentoring and knowledge transfer for junior and professional engineers, strengthening team-wide expertise in wireless technologies and the DECT NR+ standard.
  • We create technical documentation, including architectures, concepts, specifications, interfaces, and test concepts, in close cooperation with purchasing, test/qualification, production, service, project management, and systems engineering.
  • We identify innovation potential and help shape the technological roadmap, focusing on strategic reuse of architectural building blocks, guidelines, and development and integration methodologies.

Requirements and Your Profile

  • Successfully completed studies (Master/Diplom) in communications engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar technical field, alternatively a relevant technical training with many years of relevant professional experience in Wireless Systems, Signal Processing, or Embedded Stack Development.
  • Additional qualifications or further training in modern mobile and radio systems or in system architecture.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience in DECT NR+ (PHY/MAC), ideally including implementation and optimization on embedded systems.
  • Deep understanding of wireless transmission methods and digital signal processing, especially in the areas of Channel Coding, Time-/Frequency Synchronization, and Robustness Mechanisms.
  • Experience in Embedded Stack Development (C/C++) and proficient use of Python and/or MATLAB for analysis, simulation, and prototyping.
  • Experience in integrating baseband algorithms and signal processing into hardware, such as DSPs, FPGAs, or SoCs.
  • Experience or active participation in standardization committees and the ability to handle standards, specifications, and requirements confidently.
  • Motivation to work with open-source stacks and contribute to open development models.
