Senior DevOps Engineer - API Gateway (m/w/d)

What to expect

• You will coordinate and manage activities throughout the entire service lifecycle and be responsible for service design topics in application and infrastructure operations.
• You will implement IT specifications, monitor them, and actively participate in the further development of strategies and service processes.
• You will take on the coordination of technical consulting and project work, formulate requirements for data quality and performance optimization, as well as security and architecture specifications.
• You will shape service delivery, ensure optimal service availability, and support the further development of operating models and resource planning.
• As an experienced manager, you will manage (partial) projects, be responsible for project communication, resource planning, and the technical leadership of project teams.

What you bring

• A completed university degree (Diplom or Master) in IT, telecommunications, banking, or a comparable qualification, as well as several years of professional experience in operating Linux infrastructures, particularly with API gateways and container technologies (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Profound knowledge of modern authentication standards (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, mTLS) and web security, as well as experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure automation (Terraform/Ansible), and scripting languages.
• Experience in a regulated banking or insurance environment, a comprehensive understanding of ITIL processes, and demonstrable experience in project management or agile product ownership (Product Owner).
• Very good German and English skills, as well as strong communication, decision-making, and conflict management skills.
• Strong analytical skills, high organizational talent, and assertiveness, especially in security matters, and willingness to be on call.
