To strengthen our experienced team of experts, we are looking for you as a (Senior) DevOps Engineer / Consultant - Infrastructure, Network & Security (m/f/d) Remote

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following activities in customer projects:

• Automation of network and security configurations (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.)
• Setup, maintenance, and further development of DevOps infrastructures
• Configuration, deployment, and scaling of containers and microservices in a containerized environment with Docker & Kubernetes
• Implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible, Terraform & Co.
• Automation of build, test, and deployment processes (CI/CD) through the use of suitable tools and scripts
• Consulting in the area of network and security automation as well as compliance
• Analysis & troubleshooting of systems and logs, including ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
• Development and maintenance of documentation, SOPs, and technical concepts
• Co-design of agile work processes (SCRUM, Kanban)

In your role as a consultant, you will additionally take on:

• Customer consulting on new technologies & their introduction
• Design and architecture of complex IT environments
• (Partial) project management and technical responsibility

Requirements

You don't have to bring everything – but you should be able to do most of it or want to learn:

• Experience in DevOps/IT automation, network & security, specifically:
  • Understanding of network and security at CCNA level is a prerequisite (routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, etc.)
  • Understanding of network protocols and architectures
  • Experience with IT security/firewalls
  • Programming skills: preferably Python
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Config management / orchestration with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Git, CI/CD platforms, Consul, IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Knowledge in the network area (e.g., Netconf/Restconf, YANG, REST APIs, RPC)
  • Familiar with data formats like YAML, JSON, XML
  • Tools like Postman or Swagger are familiar to you
  • German (min. C1) and English (min. B1/B2)
• Professional-level certifications? Great. If not, we will actively support you in obtaining them.
