With more than 30 employees, LOWTeq GmbH is one of the leading German manufacturers of patient data management systems (PDMS) in the German-speaking region for emergency medicine, operative medicine and intensive care medicine with its super-specialization.
We’re seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on delivering reliable infrastructure and edge deployments for healthcare facilities like hospitals.
Your tasks
As a DevOps Engineer, you will join our Team and play an important role in developing our deployment infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other tools to ensure rapid, high-quality software delivery.
- Designing and managing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on AWS for our healthcare solutions.
- Building monitoring solutions for deployments and ensuring system performance at hospital edge locations.
- Working closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.
- Configuring and managing tools like Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) and SonarQube to streamline workflows and ensure code quality.
- Managing infrastructure for edge deployments in hospitals, ensuring high reliability in critical environments.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical team.
- At least 3 years of practical programming experience (Python/Java/Bash).
- Proficiency in Linux with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Strong expertise in DevOps principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and static code analysis (SonarQube).
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Understanding of edge computing and deployments in distributed environments like hospitals
Nice-to-have:
- Excellent communication skills and a creative mindset.
- Speaking / communicating in German at B1 level
- Familiarity with integrating Java UI testing frameworks.
- Experience with data pipelines and machine learning workflows.
- Background or interest in developing healthcare solutions.
