Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer — Infrastructure & Platform, you will design, build, and operate the backbone of IDnow’s production infrastructure. Working closely with product engineering and security teams, you’ll drive automation, scalability, and reliability across our platform — ensuring we can deliver identity verification at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe, and reliable delivery (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and containerized applications (Docker).
  • Manage configuration and automation using Ansible or equivalent configuration management systems.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, OpenSearch, or similar).
  • Operate and secure AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, IAM, networking).
  • Write scripts and automation tools (Bash, Python, or similar) to streamline operational workflows.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks; participate in on-call rotations for incident response.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and product teams to maintain best practices for reliability and security.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to evolving our DevOps platform engineering.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering.
  • Strong experience with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred).
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipeline design and automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Solid background in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ideally EKS).
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or equivalent).
  • Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, IAM).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, OpenSearch).
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • A pragmatic mindset with a passion for automation, observability, and operational excellence.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with security tooling, service meshes, or observability platforms at scale.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Relevant certifications (AWS Certified, CKA/CKAD) or proven large scale production experience.
