About the role

About Us

For the expansion of our Tech Team in Hamburg or Eckernförde, we are looking for you as a Dev Ops Engineer (m/w/d). Whether you come from software development and want to delve deeper into infrastructure, or come from the infra area and would like to write code again – both worlds grow together with us. We will teach you the missing part, but you should master one side securely. The position is initially limited to 2 years – an extension or takeover into a permanent position is possible with mutual interest.

Your Responsibilities

As a Dev Ops Engineer (m/w/d), you will ensure that our platform for trading renewable energies runs reliably and can be developed quickly.

What both profiles do with us:

  • CI/CD & Developer Experience: Build pipelines, deployments, and tooling so that the development team can deliver quickly and safely.
  • Observability & Reliability: Further develop monitoring (Check MK), logging, and alerting, analyze incidents, and fix things sustainably.
  • AI in Everyday Life: Development and operation of internal AI tools and agents – from prototype to productive solution.

With a focus on infrastructure in addition:

  • Platform & Operation: Further development and operation of our Kubernetes clusters on our own Proxmox infrastructure, provisioned with Terraform/Open Tofu and Ansible.

With a focus on development in addition:

  • Application & Code: Contribution to our services in Python/Django and Vue.js/TypeScript.

AI is not a buzzword for us. We work daily with Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot, build internal agents and LLM-supported tools for specialist departments, and check for every new requirement whether an AI approach makes sense. Those who fundamentally refuse the topic will not be happy with us. Those who are curious and use AI as a tool will find a lot of scope here.

Your Profile

You have several years of experience – as an experienced mid-level or senior – and a clear focus on one of the two sides:

Either software development as a basis:

  • You work confidently with Python (ideally Django) and a modern JS framework (Vue or React), know PostgreSQL beyond the basics, and have already operated services in containers. Kubernetes and Terraform are not a black box for you – and you want to delve deeper into them.

Or infrastructure as a basis:

  • You have been administering Linux (Debian) for years, automate with Ansible and Terraform/Open Tofu, operate Kubernetes, and know Proxmox or comparable hypervisors. You regularly write more than just glue code – and want to get closer to the application again.

Common to both paths:

  • Confident handling of Git, CI/CD, and code review
  • Openness and curiosity towards AI tools in everyday work
  • Very good German language skills (KRITIS environment, audits, authorities)
  • Interest in the energy industry (desirable): Enthusiasm for the energy market and the energy transition

Why Us?

As a growing company in the field of renewable energies and energy trading with a start-up atmosphere, we offer you not only a diverse range of tasks but also real scope for design, responsibility, and the opportunity to actively contribute to the energy transition.

Our Offer:

  • Framework Conditions: The position is initially limited to 24 months – with the prospect of extension.
  • Flexible Work Design: Trust-based working hours and mobile working (up to 49% per month) for your individual work-life balance.
  • Training & Development: Annual budget for training, conferences, or certifications – we consciously invest in your development.
  • IT & Tools: Choose your hardware (Windows or Apple) and work with modern tools at the cutting edge.
  • Company Pension Scheme: Contribution for your long-term security.
  • Development & Organization: Flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths, and regular feedback and salary discussions.
  • Onboarding & Collaboration: Structured onboarding and close support in the first few months – so you can settle in quickly and get started.
  • Team & Culture: Open, collegial team, regular team events, and plenty of room for your ideas.
  • For Everyday Life: Coffee, tea, water, and fresh fruit are on us.

We look forward to your application!
