Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (m/w/d)

For our client, we are looking for an experienced personality in the field of DevOps / Platform Operations (m/f/d) starting immediately. The position is permanent and located at a long-term oriented, technologically demanding company that has sustainably established operational reliability and platform further development.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the stable operation and continuous further development of a Linux-based platform environment in production-critical environments
• Operation and further development of a container-based platform environment with high demands on availability and scalability
• Support in the further development of existing applications towards cloud-ready and more automated operating models
• Participation in CI/CD, build, and deployment processes in close cooperation with development and architecture
• Automation of recurring infrastructure and operational tasks based on Infrastructure-as-Code and version-controlled working methods
• Ensuring stable, performant, and traceable operation, including monitoring and security aspects
• Participation in platform, operational, and security concepts as well as their implementation in daily technical work

Qualifications

• Completed studies in computer science or a comparable professional qualification
• Practical experience in operating complex Linux-based system landscapes
• Deep hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration in production environments
• Very good understanding of modern DevOps working methods (automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools in the operational and platform context
• Knowledge of scripting and automation, e.g., with Shell, Python, or comparable technologies
• Practice in the use of monitoring, logging, and observability concepts in distributed systems
• Confident handling of Git and common team workflows
• Experience in the database environment (SQL and/or NoSQL), including operation of data pipelines and basics of data modeling
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
