Senior DevOps & Security Engineer – K8s / Confidential Computing (m/w/d)

Project Focus

As part of a digitalization project in the public sector (individual development), we are looking for 5-10 highly qualified DevOps experts. The project focuses on building and operating a highly secure platform, considering Confidential Computing and maximum automation.

Project Details

• Period: 08.05.2026 – 31.08.2026 (option to extend)
• Workload: Fulltime (480h within the period)
• Location: 100% Remote

We are looking for an entire expert team – applications from established teams or individual consultants are equally welcome!

Key Areas of Focus

• K8s Infrastructure: Build & Management of clusters, CNI configuration, Ingress (NGINX/Istio) and Load Balancer Services.
• Cloud Security: Automation of certificate management (cert-manager, PKI) and mTLS implementation (Service Mesh).
• Confidential Computing: Integration of Secure Enclaves and Attestation into CI/CD workflows.
• Automation: Creation of IaC (Terraform, Pulumi or Crossplane) and Manifest Management (Helm/Kustomize).
• SRE & Compliance: Incident Response, Enforcement of NetworkPolicies, Monitoring (SLOs) and Policy-as-Code.

Requirements (Must-have)

• Kubernetes Core & Networking: Advanced Level (CNI, Traffic Management, Ingress).
• Security: Profound knowledge in mTLS, encryption, and certificate lifecycle.
• CI/CD: Confident handling of established toolchains (GitLab/GitHub) and security scanning.
• Automation: Solid experience in Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Python, Go, or Bash).
• Languages: German (negotiation level), English (fluent).

Nice-to-have

• Experience in Confidential Computing (Attestation, Enclaves).
• Project experience in the public administration environment (Public Sector).
