Your Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer in the SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) environment, you will significantly shape the further development of our global Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform.

You will connect production processes with modern IT architecture and drive the digital transformation of our plants.

Specifically, you will:

• Implementation of plant requirements as extensions in SAP Digital Manufacturing/MES
• Translation of functional requirements into scalable technical solution concepts
• Effort estimation, risk analysis, and technical evaluation
• Technical lead in coordination with SAP, internal teams, and external development partners
• Development and configuration of MES functionalities along the product roadmap
• Co-design of architecture, integration, UI, and test design
• Performance and stability optimization of the existing MES landscape
• Incident analysis, error correction, and sustainable documentation
• Active further development of our DevOps methods in the production environment

Your Profile

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in the development or configuration of MES systems (ideally SAP Digital Manufacturing/SAP DM)
• Experience in the production environment/shop floor/factory control
• Knowledge of integration architectures (e.g., SAP integration, interfaces, APIs)
• Experience in the DevOps environment (CI/CD, deployment processes, system stability)
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Structured, independent way of working and strong communication skills
