Senior DevSecOps Engineer & Production Deployment Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevSecOps Engineer & Production Deployment Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless deployment and secure administration of our development, testing, and production environments. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for development-related issues in production and will spearhead initial investigations, log recovery, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of applications into production, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
• Secure and manage development, testing, and production environments through best practices and innovative solutions.
• Act as the main point of contact for production issues, coordinating initial investigations and recovery of logs to facilitate rapid resolution.
• Develop and maintain tools and scripts to automate deployment and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define security best practices and establish a robust security posture across all environments.
• Proactively identify potential security vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
• Document processes and develop guidelines for security practices and deployment protocols.
• Educate and mentor team members on DevSecOps practices, fostering a culture of security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevSecOps role or related security engineering position.
• Strong background in software development, system administration, and network security.
• Proficiency in security best practices and standards such as OWASP, CIS, etc.
• Strong experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern infrastructure technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and efficiently.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or others.
• Excellent scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) and a strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM) are a plus.
• A proactive approach to managing and improving system security and reliability.
