Senior Director, Actuarial Pricing

Overview

We are partnering with a leading global reinsurance platform to support the growth of their Individual Life business. This role sits within a transaction-focused team, working on evaluating and pricing reinsurance opportunities, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners on complex and bespoke transactions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and price individual life reinsurance opportunities across a range of deal types (e.g. traditional reinsurance, inforce block transactions, product initiatives)
• Analyze data, assumptions, and risk factors to build pricing models and support transaction decisions
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. underwriting, analytics, risk) to assess key risks and structure solutions
• Present pricing analysis and recommendations to support internal approvals and decision-making
• Support business development initiatives and client-related projects
• Monitor performance of existing deals and contribute to ongoing pricing improvements

Requirements

• 7+ years of actuarial experience within life insurance / reinsurance
• FSA
• Experience in pricing, product, or assumption development
• Strong modelling skills with the ability to interpret results
• Good understanding of life insurance products and underwriting
• Strong communication skills with a commercial mindset
