We’re seeking a highly motivated backend engineer to help build a next-generation API platform and integration marketplace that enables secure, real-time connectivity across enterprise systems and external partners.
This team is modernizing how critical business data is exchanged by transitioning traditional workflows into scalable, API-driven services that improve speed, reliability, synchronization, and security. What You’ll Do
- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs supporting high-volume, real-time transactions
- Build and enhance API integration frameworks used by internal and external consumers
- Contribute to distributed systems architecture with a focus on resiliency, observability, and performance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to modernize legacy integration patterns into API-first solutions
- Optimize data flow and interoperability between enterprise platforms and partner applications
- Participate in CI/CD automation, cloud deployments, and infrastructure improvements
- Troubleshoot production issues related to scalability, latency, concurrency, and system reliability
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend or software engineering experience in enterprise environments
- Strong experience building and maintaining distributed or large-scale backend systems
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and service integrations
- Professional experience with multiple programming languages, including combinations of:
- Java
- Golang
- TypeScript
- Node.js
- Python
- JavaScript
- Experience working in cloud-native environments using AWS and/or Azure
- Understanding of scalable system design, fault tolerance, and performance optimization
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss technical decisions and tradeoffs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Exposure to GraphQL or event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with Angular or modern frontend frameworks
- Experience with Oracle, SQL, or large-scale data processing environments
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or engineering automation workflows

Interview Process
Candidates should be comfortable participating in an in-person interview process as part of the final selection stages.
The salary range for this position is $70/hr to $80/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
