Senior Duck Creek Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Duck Creek Developer to join our IT Commercial Lines team. In this role, you will contribute to a large-scale digital transformation initiative involving modern tech stacks, Agile methodologies, and Lean processes.

You will work on high-impact projects across Policy Administration, Customer Experience, Product Development, and Core Servicing platforms, supporting both production enhancements and new feature development within Duck Creek.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design and develop Duck Creek-based applications and enhancements
• Create detailed programming specifications and documentation
• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality code for complex applications
• Perform unit testing and support QA cycles
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and bug fixes
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams (developers, QA, business stakeholders)
• Follow and recommend best practices in software design and development.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Duck Creek Policy Administration/Servicing (Claims or Billing alone will NOT be considered)
• Hands-on experience with Content Development / Manuscripts
• Expertise in:
  • Coverage configuration & rating
  • Rules and workflow implementation
  • API integrations
  • Flagr
• Solid understanding of software design patterns
• Ability to work independently and within Agile teams

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in C#, .NET, SQL, and front-end scripting
• Experience in Commercial Lines Insurance
• Familiarity with Agile, Lean methodologies, and Git

Education & Experience

• 7+ years of software development experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree in IT (or related field) + 4+ years of relevant experience OR
• Equivalent technical training + 4+ years of experience
