Your responsibilities are:
- Design, develop, document, test, and troubleshoot applications, software, and integrated systems involving logical and mathematical solutions.
- Define and advocate for the overall system architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and in line with technical and operational requirements.
- Conduct interdisciplinary engineering analyses and work in partnership with software, hardware, and infrastructure engineers throughout system design and deployment.
- Investigate, assess, and utilize new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance system capability, performance, and reliability.
- Identify and analyze user requirements; evaluate system capabilities to address challenges related to program aims, data inputs, outputs, controls, and processing techniques.
- Convert requirements into system, software, and interface specifications.
- Design, document, and manage interfaces between system components and external systems.
- Develop and apply system diagrams and models to analyze behavior, performance, and integration impacts.
- Assist with system integration tasks, ensuring software, hardware, and data components perform together as anticipated.
- Supervise and assist system testing initiatives, including integration testing and validation of system functionalities.
- Create or support prototypes, utilities, or technical demonstrations to validate design concepts and system behavior.
- Create and develop utility programs, operating instructions, and requisite technical documentation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with software and systems engineering standards, best practices, and quality requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
- Identify technical risks and spearhead the resolution of complex system issues through analysis and innovative engineering solutions.
- Provide high-level technical guidance, documentation, and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in systems engineering for software-intensive or integrated systems.
- Proven experience in designing, analyzing, and maintaining complex, multi-component systems.
- Collaboration experience with diverse teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and systems integration.
