About the role
Position Summary
This position involves taking the responsibility for the execution of electrical design tasks on multiple projects that are delegated to the individual by his/her immediate supervisors. This position will be focused towards professional development within electrical engineering discipline.
Responsibilities
Technical
- Production of working design documents based upon directives and established project design guidelines developed by senior engineers and project managers.
- Identification of plausible engineering system alternates for projects.
- Coordination of inter-disciplinary items among fellow associates and outside parties.
- Adherence to department drawing standards and design guidelines.
- Performance of construction administration services under the direction of his/her supervisor.
- Must possess the ability to file and screen questions from contractors, suggesting solutions to problems before passing them on to his/her direct supervisor.
- Helps with the resolution of all design errors, omissions or clarifications in field.
- Interface with clients at meetings and on the phone.
- Provide quality control of drawing production during the design phase.
- Informing the senior engineer and project manager regarding major variances with quality standards and other project conditions, which indicate potential client dissatisfaction.
- Perform load calculations using Excel, lighting compliance using Comcheck, lighting study using AGI 32.
- Power distribution, electrical networks, system selections, building design coordination.
Qualifications & Experience
- BE or B.tech in in Electrical Engineering & 3-9 Yrs of experience in MEP industry.
- Must be proficient in AutoCad MEP, MS Office (Excel, word, outlook) and Revit MEP.
