Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Data Centres

About the Company

We are currently working with one of Ireland’s leading consultancies who specialise in the Electrical & Mechanical Design for the Data Centre, Commercial and Industrials sectors (in the areas of Medium Voltage and High Voltage) They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with experience power projects, to work on some of Europe’s most exciting projects in the area of Data Centre development.

They specialise in all building related design services from earthing to power to protection. They are specialists in Data Centres and have built up a reputation across Europe as one of the leading design specialise across a variety of markets.

About the Position

This position focused in Electrical Project Management of large data centre programs, budget management, risks and issues related to building services.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of electrical engineering designs
• Engineering studies using industry leading software
• Preparation of equipment specifications
• Technical evaluation of equipment offers
• Technical report writing
• Development and agreement of project baselines (scope, cost, time)
• Development of reports, KPI’s and dashboards
• Represent the company to the client in all aspects of the projects
• Manage construction teams and project schedules
• Technical engagement with external consultants, contractors, utilities and grid companies
• CAPEX management

Experience/Requirements

For this role you are required to have

• 5 years experience in a electrical design position
• Electrical Building Services experience
• Knowledge of the technical specification design function
• Project Management experience
• Data Centre experience
• Building Services experience
• Bid and Tender experience
• Client and sub-contractor management
• A reputation for project delivery
