Senior Electrical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Herndon, VA location to play a key role in the development of advanced laser products within our Research and Development team.

In this position, you'll tackle a variety of short-term and long-term projects, utilizing your skills to explore new frontiers in laser research for the aerospace sector. Responsibilities

• Development, verification, and enhancement of electronics for Fibertek's electro-optical systems.
• Circuit board development, firmware (FPGA & CPU) development, cable/harness design, and comprehensive documentation.
• Board and system-level integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from quick-turn tasks to extensive, long-term initiatives.

Key Qualifications

• BSEE with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in circuit board design, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with a willingness to participate in field tests and experiments.
• Familiarity with electrical lab equipment in relation to embedded system development.

Preferred Qualifications

• MSEE.
• Experience in developing high-reliability military and/or space-flight electronics.
• Knowledge of FPGA/CPLD design, simulation, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in embedded CPU/Microcontroller firmware development, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with LIDAR systems.
