Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their innovative team. This role offers a fully remote work arrangement, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere while contributing to critical projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of power system design, analysis, and operation, with a proven track record in managing complex electrical engineering projects. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust power solutions, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems for power generation, transmission, and distribution. Conduct power flow analysis, fault studies, and transient stability simulations. Develop technical specifications for electrical equipment and components. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical engineering problems. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, civil engineers, and clients. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project proposals. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in power systems engineering. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in electrical power systems engineering. Proven expertise in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory). Strong understanding of electrical machinery, protection systems, and control strategies. Experience with renewable energy integration and grid modernization is a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
