CDM Smith is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Recruiter to join our Corporate HR Team! This role is pivotal in leading the full cycle recruitment of Electrical Engineers and related technical talent, collaborating closely with engineering leadership to secure critical hires for our impactful projects.

As a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruiting for Electrical Engineering roles, including power systems, MEP, controls, instrumentation, and other specialized engineering disciplines.
  • Proactively source, engage, and build a diverse pipeline of experienced Electrical Engineers using advanced sourcing strategies, professional networks, referrals, and innovative recruiting technology.
  • Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers, translating technical requirements into compelling talent strategies and providing insights on market conditions, candidate availability, and competitive positioning.
  • Conduct high-quality technical prescreens to evaluate candidate experience, credentials, and alignment with engineering needs.
  • Manage the candidate experience with urgency and precision, preparing candidates for interviews, ensuring timely feedback, and maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
  • Coordinate interviews, facilitate feedback loops, and ensure that searches progress efficiently.
  • Extend and negotiate offers in line with firm compensation guidelines, ensuring competitive and equitable outcomes.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation and compliance across all recruiting activities using our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Analyze recruiting metrics and reports, providing visibility into pipeline health, time to fill, and hiring progress for managers and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience recruiting Electrical Engineers within consulting engineering, AEC, industrial, or similar technical fields.
  • Ability to communicate fluently with engineers and establish credibility with technical stakeholders.
  • Strong sourcing expertise in competitive technical markets.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using recruiting technology, data, and analytics to achieve results.
  • A consultative mindset focused on outcomes, speed, quality, and long-term talent impact.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4 years of related experience (or equivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Travel may be required, depending on specific duties and project demands.
