About the role

About

A global renewable energy developer with a 22-year track record and 13+ GW pipeline is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical oversight for battery energy storage systems as projects transition into construction phase.

Responsibilities

  • Review contractor documents
  • Ensure grid connection compliance
  • Challenge designs to deliver cost-efficient, functional projects
  • Evaluate grid applications
  • Manage interfaces with distribution system operators
  • Oversee electrical balance of plant designs
  • Ensure compliance with German standards (DIN, VDE 4110, VDE 4105, 4120)
  • Provide technical expertise to enable the team to challenge contractor work effectively across HV and MV systems

Requirements

  • Electrical engineering degree with 3+ years experience
  • HV and MV systems knowledge (EHV exposure a plus)
  • Strong technical review and problem-solving skills
  • Agile, entrepreneurial mindset with team-oriented approach
  • German fluency essential
