Position Description

Senior Embedded Software Architect/Engineer

Work for a dynamic and growing company developing advanced technologies for customers with challenging radio frequency and networking needs. Our ideas and products are revolutionizing the military and commercial use of spectrum.

Perform as a senior member of a software team developing the next generation of both commercial and military wireless networking: an advanced communication system built upon innovative spectrum sharing methodologies capable of transparently underlying a wide variety of wireless technologies. Participate in the entire software product life cycle including architecture of the real‑time embedded system. Provide technical oversight of junior team members, subcontractors, and/or vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the architecture, design, development, debugging, and technical documentation of an innovative spectrum access system
  • Interact with internal and external engineering teams on a regular basis to design and create interfaces with other system elements
  • Participate in both internal and external technical reviews

Experience Requirements

  • 5 – 10+ years of related experience as a Senior Software Engineer in embedded system architecture, design and development
  • High proficiency in Linux working environment and operating system, RFSoC, C and C++
  • Extensive experience in Software Defined Radios, wireless modems and networking systems
  • Extensive experience in developing and supporting real‑time embedded systems with particular attention to meeting performance requirements
  • Knowledge of full software development life cycle including configuration control, defect tracking, release and deployment process, and support requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education and Other Qualifications

  • BSCS or EE required, MS preferred
  • U.S. citizenship required
