Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to design and develop electronic hardware platforms for IP-based audio systems including paging devices, speakers, intercoms, emergency notification and evacuation systems, networked endpoints and other safety-critical control products.

This role focuses on audio electronics, Ethernet networking, PoE systems, and low-power RF integration for communication products deployed in commercial and safety environments. The engineer will own overall design and implementation, support firmware integration, and contribute to system validation and regulatory compliance in industrial environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5–10 years in electronics hardware development for embedded/networked products.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related.
  • Strong expertise in Analog and mixed-signal design, Ethernet and PoE hardware, Multi-layer PCB design.
  • Hands‑on experience with Audio subsystem design, RF module integration (Zigbee, BLE, Sub‑GHz), EMI/EMC design practices
  • Experience working with cross‑functional firmware teams.
  • Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and system‑level thinking skills.
  • Prior experience in regulated, safety‑critical, or high‑reliability domains preferred.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic hardware platforms for IP‑based audio systems (paging devices, speakers, intercoms, emergency notification and evacuation systems, networked endpoints, safety‑critical control products).
  • Own overall hardware design and implementation, including schematic capture, multi‑layer PCB layout, and power distribution.
  • Support firmware integration and collaborate closely with cross‑functional firmware teams.
  • Perform system validation, debugging, and troubleshooting of analog, RF, and networking subsystems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FCC, UL, CE, EMC) and safety‑critical design requirements.
  • Participate in EMI/EMC mitigation, signal‑integrity analysis, and low‑power RF integration (Zigbee, BLE, Sub‑GHz).
  • Provide technical leadership, documentation, and ownership of hardware projects from concept through production.
