For our client, an innovative and family-oriented technology company in the field of industrial measurement and drive technology located near Freiburg im Breisgau, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Embedded Software Developer (m/f/d). You will strengthen a small, high‑performing, and agile team and support the products from the very first idea to series production. Responsibilities

• Firmware Development: Conceptualization, design, and implementation of low‑level firmware in C for high‑precision measurement systems and positioning drives.
• Product Lifecycle: Comprehensive support of the embedded software from the initial product idea through algorithm development to series production.
• Quality Assurance: Systematic testing of the developed solutions, ensuring excellent code quality, and thorough evaluation of test and measurement results.
• Innovation & Agility: Proactively contributing to the design of new functionalities for the next product generation in an interdisciplinary, agile working environment (Scrum).

Requirements

• Erfahrung: Sie bringen zwingend mindestens 10 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Embedded-Software-Entwicklung mit und haben idealerweise in dieser Zeit verschiedene Unternehmensumfelder kennengelernt.
• Qualifikation: Abgeschlossenes Studium (Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Embedded Systems) oder eine vergleichbare tiefgehende Qualifikation.
• Core-Skills: Exzellentes Wissen in der Embedded-Programmierung in C sowie in der Konzeption komplexer Algorithmen.
• Hardware-Nähe: Solide Kenntnisse in der digitalen und analogen Schaltungstechnik sowie in der industriellen Messtechnik, Sensorik und/oder Aktorik.
• Schnittstellen & OS:
  • Kenntnisse in gängigen Protokollen (z. B. CAN, CANopen, IO‑Link, Profibus, SPI oder SAE J1939) sind von großem Vorteil.
• Erfahrung mit Echtzeitbetriebssystemen (RTOS) ist wünschenswert.
• Soft Skills & Methodik: Eigenverantwortliche Arbeitsweise, große Freude an familiärer Teamarbeit, Erfahrung im Anforderungsmanagement und sehr gute Deutsch- sowie gute Englischkenntnisse.
