Senior Embedded Software Engineer

We are excited to invite applications for the position of Senior Embedded Software Engineer to play a key role in developing the next generation of fire detection panels.

Your work will contribute to mission-critical embedded software utilized in various environments, specifically in buildings, commercial spaces, and restaurants. You will be involved in the complete software development lifecycle, which includes analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and optimization.

This position is based in Brossard, conveniently located near the REM station and close to Quartier DIX30, with parking available.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prototype reliable embedded software for fire alarm panels.
• Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final delivery.
• Prioritize features and enhance software performance through optimization.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional and international teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Over 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong expertise in multithreaded, multiprocess, and real-time applications.
• Advanced experience in development on Linux or another POSIX OS.
• Proficiency in C programming.
• Familiarity with formal development methodologies.
• Strong ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Linux applications.
• Familiarity with tools such as Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
