Senior Embedded Systems Engineer - Power Electronics

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Systems Engineer with a specialization in Power Electronics to join their innovative, fully remote engineering team. This crucial role involves the design, development, and implementation of embedded software for cutting-edge power conversion systems used in renewable energy and industrial applications. You will be responsible for creating robust, efficient, and reliable firmware that controls and monitors complex power electronic devices. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software (firmware) for microcontrollers and digital signal processors (DSPs) used in power converters (e.g., inverters, converters). Implement control algorithms for power electronics, including grid-tied systems, motor drives, and battery management systems. Develop real-time operating system (RTOS) based applications. Integrate embedded software with hardware components, ensuring seamless operation and performance. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing of embedded software. Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, power systems engineers, and other stakeholders in a remote environment. Analyze and troubleshoot complex embedded systems issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Optimize embedded software for performance, efficiency, and resource utilization. Stay current with advancements in embedded systems technologies, power electronics, and relevant industry standards. Contribute to the development of robust software development processes and best practices. Document software designs, code, and test procedures thoroughly.
