La Grande Béroche · On-site Full-time Senior Yesterday

About the role

YOUR FUTURE JOB

You translate the mechatronics system requirements into an optimized embedded system and its firmware, taking ownership of the performance. You work alongside the team to ensure that all components work cohesively toward a unified, high-performing robotic module. You’ll blend software development, system-level problem solving, and cross- functional collaboration to ensure a stable, reliable, and ready for evaluation and deployment product.

More specifically, you will:

  • Own Technical Requirements: Translate high-level system requirements (from the Technical Lead) and customer requirements (from the Product Line Manager) into detailed, actionable technical specifications for PCB designers, Firmware (FW) designers, and software designers.
  • Orchestrate Interfaces: Own and manage the interfaces between PCB design, Firmware, and software libraries, ensuring seamless integration across the entire system.
  • Drive Alignment: Ensure that development proceeds at pace and that all sub-component versions (Hardware, FW, SW) remain aligned throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Execution: Act within the team to resolve complex system-level challenges and ensure the robustness of our mechatronic parts.
  • Collaborate on Reference Designs: Work alongside the team to develop application hardware and embedded software for proven reference designs and development kits.
  • Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive system-level documentation to assist both internal teams and external customers in effectively integrating our products.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Microelectronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Embedded system, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in embedded systems, with a proven track record in a lead or senior technical role. Experience in the robotics industry is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of the interplay between PCB design, microcontrollers, RTOS, and hardware-software interfacing.
    • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and experience with scripting languages like Python.
    • Familiarity with robotic frameworks (e.g., ROS2) or simulators is a plus.
  • Systems Thinking: Exceptional ability to translate high-level customer needs into complex technical requirements across multiple engineering disciplines.

WE OFFER

  • A challenging job in a dynamic high-tech international environment.
  • The opportunity to take ownership of your professional passion in order to contribute to the success of the company.
  • An enjoyable, team-oriented and professional atmosphere in a flat-structured organization.
  • Versatile development opportunities.
