Our client, a leading innovator in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Systems Engineer with expertise in renewable energy integration to join their fully remote team. As a Senior Energy Systems Engineer operating remotely, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing complex energy systems, with a particular focus on integrating renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and energy storage into existing power grids and microgrids. You will conduct feasibility studies, develop technical specifications, and perform system-level modeling and simulations to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and economic viability of renewable energy projects. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with stakeholders, evaluating new technologies, and contributing to policy development related to renewable energy deployment.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and analysis of energy systems, focusing on the integration of renewable energy sources and energy storage solutions. Develop technical models and simulations to assess system performance, stability, and grid impact. Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic analyses for renewable energy projects. Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical specifications, and project proposals. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project execution. Evaluate and recommend advanced technologies and methodologies for renewable energy integration. Develop strategies for grid modernization and resilience in the face of increasing renewable penetration. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and relevant regulations in the energy sector. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the knowledge base within the engineering team. Participate in proposal development and contribute to securing new business opportunities. Ensure designs comply with all relevant engineering standards, safety codes, and environmental regulations. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in energy systems engineering, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy integration. Proven expertise in power system analysis, load flow, stability studies, and grid interconnection. Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MATLAB/Simulink, HOMER) and simulation tools. Deep understanding of solar PV, wind energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and microgrid technologies. Familiarity with power electronics, control systems, and grid codes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information effectively. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. Experience with project management principles is a plus.
