Senior Engineer, BizOps - DevOps Engineer

This position need someone who is a DevOps Engineer and must come from a Java development background.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services-from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement.
• Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, monitoring capabilities, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
• Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Centralizing points of interaction for both internal and external partners by communicating effectively with all key stakeholders
• Align Product and Customer Focused priorities with Operational needs
• Provide guidance to teams on processes such as Agile, Lean, etc.
• Provide guidance to teams on automation practices and tools
• Perform knowledge sharing and coaching, mentoring by Tech Talks & Presentation session on specific topics of expertise Technical writing and publishing - Articles, Blogs, References
• Participate & contribute in talent acquisition and recruitment activities as follows: Collaborate with hiring team to outline and execute strategy for recruiting technical folks Records, reviews and provides inputs on Skill requirements Takes up interview sessions for candidate positions for associate engineers and senior engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with data structures, complexity analysis and software design.
• Experience with software development processes including SAFe/Agile processes.
• Experience wide variety of technologies and preferred experience in the following technology:.

1. planning, configuration, optimization and deploying Microsoft Azure solutions (IaaS, PaaS, NSG, Vnets, AD, OMS, App Insights, App Services, Service Fabric, Key Vault etc.).

2. Experience in supporting IT infrastructure technologies and standards including system configuration policies, security, hardening, HA, DR etc.

3. Scripting creation experience using ARM Template and/or Powershell Script

4. Setting up VNETS, Subnets and configuring NSG is preferred.

5. Supporting the client's deployment of PaaS offerings such as SQL Database, Web Apps, Load Balancers

6. Designing high available and performant SQL server.

• Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
• Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
