In this demanding role, you will take technical responsibility for building automation systems and manage projects holistically from the concept phase to commissioning.

Responsibilities

Learn more about your new tasks

• Independent engineering of building automation (BA) systems from the concept and planning phase to detailed engineering according to project requirements
• Creation of automation and function concepts as technical specifications for suppliers and system integrators
• Review, coordination, and quality assurance of BA specifications, system architectures, and engineering documents (e.g., function descriptions, diagrams, interface, test, and acceptance documents)
• Coordination of all BA-relevant interfaces with other disciplines (HVAC, electrical, IT/OT, process) across all project phases
• Support and execution of commissioning as well as active participation in qualification activities according to project and customer requirements
• Ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer-specific requirements, and applicable Swiss standards and guidelines (e.g., SIA, SWKI, VKF)
• Technical support and guidance of Junior Engineers in the field of building automation

Qualifications

Demonstrate your competencies

You bring in-depth technical knowledge, project experience, and a strong understanding of complex technical contexts:

• Completed studies (FH/ETH) or a qualification as a HF technician in building automation, automation, electrical, or information technology, or a comparable qualification with corresponding professional experience
• Several years of experience in engineering BA systems in industrial projects; experience in the GMP environment is an advantage
• Good knowledge of relevant Swiss standards and guidelines as well as applicable EN and ISO standards in the field of building automation
• Technical knowledge in PLC, SCADA, and network technology as well as practical experience with building automation bus systems such as KNX, BACnet, Modbus, and OPC (Not all technologies need to be mastered in detail – a sound understanding of BA concepts and system interfaces is crucial)
• Structured, independent way of working with a high sense of responsibility and a strong understanding of interfaces
• High team spirit as well as a clear focus on customer satisfaction and high-quality project results
• Very good communication skills in German and English
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland for projects
