Join our dynamic team dedicated to developing a groundbreaking platform for machine data. We are seeking a Senior Engineer to be part of Splunk's Data Platform - Data Orchestration (DO) team. You will be working in a fast-paced environment utilizing innovative technology, contributing significantly to Cisco’s vision of Data Fabric. Your role will influence all facets of data handling, from generation and storage to processing and analysis across Splunk's diverse product offerings. Our engineers thrive on contributing from their first day while benefiting from ample learning and growth opportunities. You'll gain insights into our entire technology stack, including data ingestion, storage, searching, reporting, and dashboard creation, all within distributed systems. Your work will directly enhance our customers' experiences!

Your Impact

As a Technical Leader, you will:

• Design high-level frameworks for various features collaborating with fellow technical leaders and architects.
• Lead a group of engineers through the development, execution, and delivery processes aligned with Splunk's release cycle.
• Work closely with the Product team to ensure impactful feature delivery for our customers.
• Ensure product quality by promoting a Developer Owned Quality approach within your team.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience in successfully creating new services/features within a larger product using cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP, alongside Kubernetes and CI/CD practices.
• Hands-on coding experience with object-oriented languages such as Golang, C++, or Java.
• Adept at agile and lean practices that facilitate CI/CD and fast-paced iterative development.
• Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, software design, and the architecture of modern distributed systems.
• Strong commitment to quality and performance in the products you develop.

Compensation

The projected starting salary range for this role is between $183,800.00 and $263,600.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, or benefits.

Individual pay will vary based on factors such as employee location, market conditions, skills, experience, qualifications, and education. Detailed salary information will be shared during the hiring process.

Paid Time Off
