The Shared Applications and Services (SAS) organization was established in 2023 to manage bank-wide shared tools such as workflow platforms, document systems, and process automation. Within SAS, the Workflow Tribe delivers secure and scalable workflow solutions, playing a crucial role in driving innovation and agility across the bank. They operate in an agile setup with squads and Centers of Expertise (CoEs) to ensure collaboration and continuous delivery.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer for uFlow Universal (m/f/d) to take on technical responsibility within the team. This role combines deep hands-on expertise with the ability to guide, influence, and evolve engineering practices. Fluent German and English are important for confident communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical expert for uFlow, providing technical guidance and resolving complex engineering challenges.
• Contribute hands-on to solution architecture and implementation, working closely with engineers within the team.
• Drive technical design reviews, code quality, and adherence to architectural and engineering standards.
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate technical risks, bottlenecks, and technical debt.
• Collaborate closely with Architecture, QA, ITAO, and DevOps to ensure stable, scalable, and secure deliveries.

Skills & Experience

• Solid hands-on experience in Java-based enterprise application development.
• Proven experience with workflow solutions (e.g., uFlow, Camunda, BPMN-based platforms).
• Good knowledge of Kafka, Elasticsearch, APIs, and event-driven and distributed architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and operating productive systems at scale.
• Ability to lead through influence, set pragmatic technical direction, and act as a trusted engineering partner.
