Your Contribution to TenneT
- You will act as the central technical authority, handling system-critical issues related to mechanical grid connection systems and contributing your expertise when operational engineers can no longer independently resolve faults or complex technical challenges.
- You will be technically responsible for the standardization and further development of HVAC systems such as cooling, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, as well as fire dampers.
- As a technical interface between Asset Management, Project, Operations, and Procurement, you will ensure stable and efficient plant operation through clear specifications, analyses, and technical decisions.
- You will analyze complex fault patterns, derive sustainable measures, and coordinate technical remediation with operations – including root cause analyses, incident reports, and technical bulletins.
- In coordination with project and operations teams, you will contribute to the further development of maintenance strategies, technical standards, and the next 2 GW generations, taking technical responsibility for tenders, bid evaluations, scope definitions, and acting as the technical contract holder for modifications, upgrades, and adaptations to existing systems.
Your Profile
- You have successfully completed a technical degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- You also have relevant practical experience in air conditioning, ventilation, or refrigeration technology and understand the technical interrelationships from a practical standpoint.
- You bring well-founded experience in maintenance, construction, or fault analysis, ideally from the industrial or offshore environment.
- Proficiency in handling norms, regulations, and common project management methods characterizes you.
- Your very good German and good English skills complete your profile.

Our Challenges
The Field Operations DC department carries out field work such as maintenance, overhaul, and small projects on offshore and HVDC systems. It manages asset data, documentation, and standardized DC engineering services. The unit plans and controls operations & maintenance, monitors systems, manages faults, and ensures the technical and organizational readiness of new systems. It also continuously develops maintenance and logistics strategies and supports other execution units with technical expertise.

- The position requires regular travel of approx. one week per quarter, depending on the respective requirements, and a driver's license class B.
- Offshore suitability according to AWMF standard is necessary for the activity, which will be determined by our company doctor.
