Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable APIs and event-driven systems deployed on Azure or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures
• Implement event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Azure or GCP
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers and frontend developers
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of applications

Requirements

• 4-8 years of experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+)
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with React
• Experience building Microservices architecture
• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka
• Experience deploying applications on Azure or GCP
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and API security
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Good to Have

• Exposure to Kubernetes
• Experience working with distributed systems
• Knowledge of design patterns and system design basics
