Responsibilities

• Design SAP Defense Solutions: Developing and implementing highly specialized SAP solutions based on SAP Defense Forces & Public Security (S/4HANA Defense & Security) for the German Armed Forces, defense contractors, and security authorities are among your tasks.
• Drive S/4HANA Transformation: You will accompany complex migration projects from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA in security-critical environments – with smooth transitions without operational interruptions.
• Compliance & Security: You ensure compliance with strict security guidelines, export control regulations, and VS conformity when implementing SAP systems.
• Functional Leadership: Taking on functional leadership in defense projects and developing junior consultants into defense SAP experts are part of your area of responsibility.

Profile

• SAP Expertise in the Defense Environment: You have proven many years of experience with SAP ERP/S/4HANA – ideally including SAP Defense & Security and logistics modules (MM, WM, PM, EWM) – in security-critical implementations; experience with the Mobile Application Integration Framework (MAIF) is a valuable plus.
• Technical Depth: You effectively use in-depth knowledge of SAP ABAP/ABAP OO, SAP Fiori, Fiori Elements, Core Data Services, OData, and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) for customized defense solutions.
• Defense Background & Security Clearance: You have professional experience in the defense industry, with the German Armed Forces, in defense companies, or in defense-focused consulting; you also bring a willingness to undergo a security check (SÜG) or possess an existing clearance (ideally up to VS-CONFIDENTIAL).
• Project Methodologies: You apply experience with classic and agile development models in regulated environments, as well as solid knowledge in requirements engineering according to IREB.
• Optional Industry Knowledge: A good understanding of military procurement processes, NATO standards, the War Weapons Control Act, and the specific challenges of the defense industry completes your profile.
• Communication Talent: You communicate confidently in German and English, both internally and externally.
