Senior Engineering Manager (Metal-, Automotive Manufacturing, Stamping)

SUMMARY

A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and manage the engineering function within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.

POSITION INFO

Non-Negotiable Industry Experience: Candidates MUST have solid experience in:

• Metal Manufacturing
• Stamping
• Automotive Manufacturing

Candidates without this experience will unfortunately not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering, project, and maintenance teams
• Drive process optimisation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency
• Oversee engineering projects, equipment installations, and production line upgrades
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies
• Support tooling, automation, robotics, and process control systems
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO standards, and customer requirements
• Manage budgets, reporting, KPIs, and departmental performance
• Drive new product introduction (NPI) and RFQ processes
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to improve manufacturing processes

Minimum Requirements

• BSc / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years Engineering Management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• Strong project management and process improvement experience
• Experience within metal manufacturing and stamping environments is essential
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Advantageous

• Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification
• CAD and ERP/MES systems knowledge
• Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA6.3
• Strong understanding of tooling and production processes
