About the role

About

We're a growing engineering and technology company focused on smart building systems, automation, and systems integration. Our work centers on improving efficiency, reliability, and performance across complex facilities through modern controls and data-driven solutions. We support a wide range of industries, from data centers to hospitals, and take pride in solving technically challenging, real-world infrastructure problems.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project delivery for critical facilities including data centers and hospitals with a focus on building automation, controls, and operational technology (OT) systems. This role combines technical leadership in system architecture and controls integration (SCADA, BAS/BMS, PLC, DDC, HMI) with strong program management skills to manage schedules, budgets, risk, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery across all phases: pre-construction, design development, procurement, construction, startup, commissioning, and closeout for multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and resource plans; track progress against timelines and take corrective action to mitigate schedule risk.
  • Establish and manage project budgets, forecasts, and change control processes; monitor cost performance and implement cost-saving measures when appropriate.
  • Define and review system architecture for building automation, SCADA/BMS integrations, PLC/DDC/HMI implementations, and OT networking to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including controls engineers, mechanical/electrical engineers, site construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Manage vendor communication, subcontracts, equipment procurement.
  • Serve as the primary project point of contact for clients on technical and schedule matters; prepare and present periodic status reports and executive-level summaries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Controls Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of project management experience delivering engineering projects with controls/BAS/SCADA components.
  • Experience with data centers and/or hospital-critical facilities strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-construction planning, cost estimating, budgeting, and schedule management for large, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Proven technical knowledge of building automation systems (BAS/BMS), SCADA, PLCs, DDCs, HMI, HVAC controls, and system architecture design.
  • Hands-on familiarity with OT networking, industrial cybersecurity considerations, and secure integration of controls systems into facility networks.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and procurement processes, including specification development and evaluation of technical submittals.
