The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineering Technician to join our team and work alongside our clients in a dynamic work environment within their secure and unsecure facilities. The primary work is based at our largest Department of Defense customer near Columbia, MD in support of their electrical SCADA System.

Your Impact
- Assist project engineers in completing SCADA system database and display design packages.
- Support the integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced control systems at customer sites.
- Partner with engineering and project management teams to ensure quality project execution.
- Deliver clear, thorough documentation and communicate technical findings.
- Adapt to dynamic work environments and project needs.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 5 years of field or service experience in a related technical discipline (Building Automation, HVAC Control Systems, SCADA Controls)
- Associate degree in a technical field (field experience may substitute)
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and international).
- Comfortable being independent on-site with customers approximately 80% of the time.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, field-based environments.
- Strong collaborator with the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail regarding technical project requirements.
- Willingness to execute project work using established standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to obtain government security clearance.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical/power systems, control systems, and networking.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with field-based monitoring devices, e.g. Siemens, SEL, Schneider, Vertiv, Eaton, Tripp Lite, etc.
- Experience with drafting software.
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $77,900 - $97,400. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
