About The Position

For a long-term transformation project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Software Architect (Senior/Expert Level). The focus is on modernizing complex, security-critical information systems towards a modern, scalable microservices architecture.

The role offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the further development of central IT systems with high social relevance.

Your Tasks

• Concept and further development of system and software architectures
• Creation of solution designs, integration concepts, and prototypes
• Definition of security, integration, and operating architectures (incl. PKI / HSM)
• Support of implementation (development, integration, deployment)
• Creation and maintenance of architecture documentation according to common standards
• Coordination with adjacent systems and overarching architectural specifications
• Collaboration with business departments, development teams, operations, and external partners
• Participation in agile teams (SCRUM, JIRA)

Your Profile

• Several years of experience as a Software Architect (Senior or Expert Level)
• Sound knowledge of microservices architectures
• Experience with Java / Spring Boot and modern frontend technologies (e.g., Angular)
• Know-how in cloud/platform approaches (PaaS)
• Experience with security architectures (especially PKI, HSM is an advantage)
• Practical experience in integrating complex system landscapes
• Experience in agile methodologies (SCRUM)
• Structured, solution-oriented approach and strong communication skills
