About

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Business Development and Strategy (BD&S) is seeking a Senior Field and Customer Engagement (FACE) Manager (Level M), for the Patuxent River, MD Field Office. This position can also be based in Arlington, VA, Norfolk, VA or Virginia Beach, VA.

This is a highly visible position where you will have the opportunity to build a long-term career with BDS, Business Development (BD), and Field Operations while moving the business forward and enhancing shareholder value.

You will represent all Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS), and Boeing Global Services (BGS), and Boeing Subsidiaries projects, programs, products, and capabilities for the United States Navy (USN).

This is a highly complex set of offerings for a rapidly evolving contested environment in all five domains (space, air, land, maritime, and cyber) - the key to this role is your ability to build relationships, listen to the customer, and communicate how Boeing products support the mission as well as schedule and affordability needs.

This individual will contribute on matters related to the U.S. programs of record and will routinely interface with a diverse and geographically dispersed team while building and leveraging close working relationships with the Boeing Government Operations office, Field Offices, BDS and BGS business units and Program Teams.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead United States Navy/United States Marine Corps (USN/USMC) Acquisition Program customer support with influential Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) customers at Naval Aire Station (NAS) Patuxent River, MD.
  • Supports BDS; MQ-25, FA-XX, UJTS, P-8 (ACP and Increment 3), V-22 (Navy CMV-22, USMC MV-22), FA-18 E/F and EA-18G, FA-18 SLM, Advanced Super Hornet Capability insertion, Equivalent Effects /ADVEW and NGJ.
  • Supports Global Support & Services (GS&S); P-8 Depot Maintenance, P-8A Sustainment, FA-18E-F SLEP, FA-18 E/F/G Sustainment and Engineering, Growler SLAP/SLM, T-45 and AV-8B.
  • Supports Weapons; JDAM-LR, LJDAM, Harpoon, and SLAM-ER.
  • Supports Phantom Works.
  • Timely customer engagements and market shaping events help shape Super Hornet Un-funded Requirement Procurement in FY-26 and FY-27, MQ-25A capability priorities favoring the Boeing solution, FA-18 International (Australia, Kuwait), and P-8 International (RAAF, UK, Singapore and Norway) media events and on site flight evaluations.
  • Manages employees and mid-level managers planning, developing and managing sales and marketing campaigns.

Onsite Requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 10+ years of experience working within or with Military or DoD customers
  • 5+ years of quality experience in a Defense or Space related program (e.g. NASA, DoD, etc.)
  • Experience interfacing directly with senior military officials and executives
  • Communication experience, both written and verbal, with a comfort of representing the organization externally, and frequent interactions with executive-level management
  • Experience with DoD acquisition process and the role of the COCOM (Combatant Commander) in the requirements setting and acquisition process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Government/Department of War (DoW)/Navy budget, investments and acquisition processes along with an understanding of legislative or Congressional activities.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range

Patuxent River, MD & Arlington, VA: $204,850 - $277,150

Norfolk VA & Virginia Beach, VA:$191,250 - $258,750

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
