About

The National Account Executive sells Wolters Kluwer’s Compliance Solution products and is primarily focused on growing WK’s business by selling primarily to existing mid-market and upper-market insurance firms. The role involves developing and nurturing national account customers and retaining existing customers. The individual utilizes knowledge of the customer’s business strategies, products, services, marketing techniques and policies to provide WK solutions. The role partners with an assigned Account Manager to develop account plans that meet territory goals and objectives. The position works in a financial environment with a complex financial structure and decision-making hierarchy, offering appropriate solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Personal contacts with insurance firms primarily mid-market and enterprise level as well as Health companies.
  • Maintains knowledge of product line including compliance, risk, regulatory content, and workflow solutions.
  • Makes an average of 1-2 financial institution calls per day with extensive travel as necessary.
  • Achieves sales objectives by growing existing inventory and focusing on new sales growth within the assigned territory.
  • Develops and nurtures existing and new customers.
  • Collaborates with Account Manager partner in serving customers; plans and executes sales strategy.
  • Maintains excellent customer relations.
  • Understands and presents complex products/solutions.
  • Maintains accurate records of account activity in Salesforce.com.
  • Updates key opportunity information to provide individual and team forecasts timely.
  • Maintains product knowledge, market awareness, and competitive knowledge.
  • Communicates with sales teams, sales management, inside sales, and account management.
  • Develops skills in product knowledge, industry knowledge, WKFS systems, technology, customer relations, and selling techniques.
  • Performs administrative responsibilities including recordkeeping, reporting, and customer database maintenance.
  • Works with many individuals within the company and financial institutions to achieve sales.
  • Operates within WKFS guidelines managing expenses.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales/Marketing or related field, or equivalent job-related experience.
  • 5+ years of direct account management, inside sales, or outside sales experience.
  • Working knowledge of financial or insurance related product offerings.
  • Understanding of insurance agency structure and sales cycle impact.
  • PC knowledge and experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of core systems used by insurance companies.
  • Business background with understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting concepts desired.

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
  • Willingness to perform cross country air travel.

Compensation

  • $89,600.00 - $157,000.00 USD base salary.
  • Eligible for commission.
  • Compensation influenced by skills, experience, and hiring location.
