We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and support schedule according to corporate timeframes.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
- Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits.
- Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of entries.
- Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs.
- Prepare tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Monitor budget preparation and the budgeting process.
- Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
- Implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Proven experience in the manufacturing industry is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
- Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic and a team player mentality.
