We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and support schedule according to corporate timeframes.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
  • Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
  • Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits.
  • Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of entries.
  • Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs.
  • Prepare tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Monitor budget preparation and the budgeting process.
  • Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  • Implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience in the manufacturing industry is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong work ethic and a team player mentality.
