Senior Financial Accountant

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading PLC to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant on a 12-month contract basis. This role offers excellent exposure across the business, including close collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders.

The Role

• Manage a portfolio of group entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities
• Oversee revenue recognition for relevant contracts in line with accounting standards
• Collaborate closely with the reporting team to support the group's deliverables
• Prepare statutory financial statements for assigned entities
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors
• Contribute to the preparation of the PLC’s annual report
• Support annual and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes
• Partner with operational departments to provide insightful financial analysis (e.g. margins, cost control, overheads)
• Work cross-functionally to support the delivery of broader financial objectives
• Review and enhance existing reporting processes and controls
• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting
• Proactive mindset with the ability to drive performance and improvements
• Comfortable using, or willing to learn, new technologies, including AI tools
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
