Become a vital part of a dynamic, physician-owned healthcare services organization that is rapidly growing, where your contributions will significantly enhance the financial integrity that supports patient care. As a Senior Financial Accountant (Reporting & Close), you will be instrumental in delivering precise, timely, and audit-ready financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP, bringing clarity and strategic insights to a fast-paced, private-equity-backed environment.

In this role, you will take charge of essential month-end close operations, develop and uphold high-quality balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborate across Finance, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Revenue Cycle, and Operations to ensure a smooth closing process. If you have a passion for optimizing workflows, upholding robust controls, and providing meticulous support for auditors and leadership, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, allocations, and intercompany entries with precision.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial close for designated entities or divisions.
  • Analyze financial results in comparison to prior periods and budget/forecast; investigate and resolve any variances.
  • Prepare and maintain audit-ready balance sheet reconciliations for cash, revenue and accounts receivable, payroll-related liabilities, accruals, and other essential accounts.
  • Resolve any reconciling issues and maintain clear documentation with effective audit trails.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Revenue Cycle, and Operations to address any issues affecting financial close, reporting, and cash management.
  • Support cash management efforts through detailed reconciliations and active review of financial activities.
  • Assist with bank reporting, audits, tax documentation, and respond to ad hoc requests.
  • Maintain organized supporting schedules and address internal and external inquiries thoroughly.
  • Contribute to the documentation of internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Drive improvements in close processes, reconciliation standards, and operational procedures.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online and Live Flow or other similar reporting tools effectively.
  • Engage in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting and month-end closing processes.
  • Strong grasp of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient with accounting systems and software.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with various reporting systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare accounting and/or within a private-equity-backed organization.
  • Familiarity with audit processes, tax support, and internal controls.
  • Involvement in streamlining close processes and enhancing documentation.
  • Exposure to ERP implementations or enhancements in reporting tools.

What We Provide:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and ancillary benefits for full-time employees.
  • 401(k) plan with up to a 3% company match.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holiday benefits.
