Senior Financial Analyst - 6 month contract

About the Opportunity

• Lead period-end financial activities.
• Ensure adherence to tight month‑end schedule, prepare closing journal entries and complete account reconciliations.
• Prepare forecasts/budgets based on driver based financial models.
• Explain variances of actuals vs forecast/budget and communicate effectively to partners.
• Ensure all company financial policies and procedures are adhered to for the assigned responsibility area.
• Prepare market data reporting and track commodity market‑based performance.
• Investigate variances, analyze production data, and provide explanations to management.
• Interpret financial results.
• Identify, recommend, and support cost improvement opportunities.
• Calculate and update product costs, including Standard Costing updates.
• Work with the plant team to ensure inventory related accounting policies are implemented properly.
• Support the overall budget process by coordinating with market, plant and other business unit data.
• Provide guidance and coaching to non‑finance managers regarding issues of financial control and compliance.
• Work with team members to drive automation and visualization efforts by identifying and implementing ETL‑based solutions for system originating data.

About You

• CPA or foreign accounting designation.
• 3‑5 years of full‑cycle accounting experience.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Highly analytical, deadline driven and detailed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Works well independently and in teams.
