Your Team

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to strengthen our Finance Business Partnering team within the CFO Global Performance Steering (GPS) area. The Business Partnering team is a key contributor to foster bold and proactive steering of Allianz Commercial’s financial performance. The team has a clear mandate not only to support, but also to challenge the business leaders and be a constructive finance business partner on all financial performance related topics for the senior leadership team.

The Impact You Will Have

Based in Paris la Défense, reporting into the Head of Business Partnering Western and Northern Europe GPS, you will provide consistent and comprehensive performance management and business steering support.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: • Provide consistent and comprehensive performance management and business steering support to the leadership team in France, monitoring and challenging of regional business results based on financial and non-financial KPIs along strategic priorities • Communicating results to the Workers’ Council • Coordinating input and implementation and follow-up actions for Quarterly business reviews • Represent Global Performance Steering in all steering meetings for the region (eg. In the local Executive Management Team, EMT). • Provide financial analyses and assessments on the financial performance of some key lines of business (LoBs) for Western and Northern Europe and coordinate with other regional analysts covering other Lines of Business • Contribute to best-practice sharing across regions and Lines of Business, • Drive pro-active and tight exchange among regional stakeholders (Accounting, Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Allianz Risk Consulting) to provide a solid foundation of bold business steering • Play an active consultancy role in portfolio steering • Liaise with local MC finance business partnering team for over-arching AZ Commercial steering activities

What You’ll Bring to the Role

This is an excellent career opportunity for a confirmed Financial Analyst with 3 to 5 years of experience in the Financial Services sector in France. You bring: • A strong educational background in a relevant subject, ideally to Masters level • Demonstrated success in financial analysis, planning and reporting, preferably in P&C insurance, reinsurance and/or asset management • Strong understanding of steering cycles, Performance Steering reporting & planning, IFRS 17 P&L, key KPIs and cross-functional metrics (eg. Pricing, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Risk Management) • Analytical mindset to evaluate LoB performance, identify trends, connect insights holistically, and link performance to market and economic developments • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex issues, anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions proactively • Strong communication skills, at ease interacting with international colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management • Team-oriented mindset, keen to foster collaboration and improve processes • Excellent Excel skills, ideally Power BI and the ability to prepare reports and presentations that analyze data effectively and convey engaging messages (in both French and English) • A solid understanding of data analysis, automation and AI tools is required, with an awareness of ethical AI usage. • Excellent command of both French and English (verbal and written)
