About the role
Overview
In this role you will own margin reporting for Bio-Rad and its groups, partnering with FP&A and data analytics to drive actionable insights. You will deliver variance analysis, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations that explain drivers and support strategic decisions. The position sits in the Global FP&A team within the Business Insights Center of Excellence, emphasizing data governance, standardization, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll lead process improvements and mentor junior staff while shaping margin optimization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own margin reporting for Bio-Rad and its groups
- Prepare monthly variance analysis of actuals vs forecast and budget with driver explanations
- Develop margin analyses and support margin expansion initiatives
- Analyze margin by group, product family, region, and customer; create dashboards
- Lead dashboard and reporting development and be the main liaison with data analytics
- Support strategies to enhance productivity through portfolio analysis and cost reduction
- Evaluate product portfolio for pricing, mix, and contribution margin; perform 80/20 analysis
- Identify and implement business process improvements; update desk procedures accordingly
- Respond promptly and accurately to partner inquiries; perform ad hoc reporting
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with experience in revenue or margin
- Strong data management and analytics ensuring reliable datasets
- Ability to transform data into actionable insights via KPI development and trend analysis
- Bridging technical data analysis with business strategy to enable decision-making
- Strong MS Excel skills; PowerBI or related experience preferred
- Excellent written communication for monthly reporting to stakeholders
- Ability to manage deadlines from multiple projects
- Experience with enterprise planning software; Essbase and SAP preferred
